Every May, I would head off to the Saturday morning media breakfast at the Speedway, and watch as Earl won many awards. Since Earl was usually staying at our place, it was easy to make time for this great event.

- How did you know Earl?:
- We met through the IWCCCARS, and then he would visit me outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at the El-Lou Mobile Home Park where we would visit at my parents RV.
- About Me:
- 2009 is my 28th trip to the Indianapolis 500, my 17th consecutive since 1992.
My wife got to meet Earl after the 2007 Indianapolis 500, however Allison, my daughter was born after he passed.
